Good communication skills in English are vital for teaching success, helping young teachers advance globally. At Navyug College for Education, developing these skills is a priority, with a focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing through consistent practice. The college has a modern Language Laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual tools, fostering self-enhancement and soft skill development among students and faculty.
The Language Laboratory, known as the Computer-Assisted Language Lab (CALL), includes internet facilities, a computer, a television, and 21 study chairs with headphones. It provides students with opportunities to hear native speakers and refine their pronunciation. Activities like group presentations, discussions, and brainstorming sessions encourage critical analysis and clear thinking. Additionally, the lab offers flexibility, allowing students to learn at their own pace and address individual needs.
The lab aims to develop communicative competence, prepare learners for interviews, enhance conversation and discussion skills, and adapt to technical demands. By combining modern resources with practical activities, the Language Laboratory ensures students are equipped with essential language skills to thrive as effective educators.
